Ashley finally got married. Congratulations! These stupid pictures are in exact reverse order from how I wanted them to be, so we're going now from the end of the night to the beginning. Sigh.
Debbie is toasting her daughter and son-in-law.
Calvin went waaayy up under Ashley's dress searching for the garter.
The bride and groom's first dance. The song? Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours".
Bonnie and Sam by the water wheel.
Bill and Bonnie
Bill and Sam
The Blues Brothers! These guys were hilarious.

Bill and Debbie
Awwww... The little flower girls were so cute.
And I present you Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Elmore!
The kiss. And what a kiss!
I now pronounce you husband and wife.
Gavin was so cute.
The view from where we stood. Here's Travis giving his sister away.
Travis walked Ashley down the path. It was a beautiful setting.
Samantha, waiting for it all to begin.
Bill and Bonnie
Sheesh, do we ever tire of taking pictures of each other?
Mike and Kat. They left shortly after the ceremony.

Mother's Day but Not...
Michael has finals, so he'll be home for the summer in three days. It would have been just silly for him to drive home for Mother's Day, so we're going to celebrate that another time. Samantha and I attended a play "12 Angry Men" put on by Greater Shelby Community Theater. We enjoyed it very much, then went home and planted a few flowers that I had laying around and hadn't planted yet. We ate dinner and watched a movie. A nice non-Mother's Day.... Thanks Sam!
Ashley's Lingerie Shower
Debbie and Ashley at the lingerie shower.
Ashley opening our gift.
Ooh la la... She loved it. She says she's going to wear it (at least for a moment) on her wedding night. She tried it on later and Samantha says it's HOT!
Gavin arrived straight from Karate class where he earned his yellow belt. Way to go, Gavin!

Lysistrata (and some ducks)
This little family made its way across the parking lot at work the other day....
Sam and Travis hamming it up in the drive way.
We went to see Lysistrata at UNCG. It was hilarious, but no photos allowed. Naturally, during the curtain call I had to sneak a picture.
Mike on the theater steps with some friends.
Mike and Kat and Sam and Travis as we left the theater. We all loved the show then went to dinner at Chili's where a good time was had by all. Love the little mini-burgers, which is what I had. Sam had shrimp fajitas, which weren't even on the menu!

Asheville Weekend
Asheville reminds me of New Orleans in some ways. Old buildings, funky shops, fun nightlife. This square of Asheville seems like it's been under construction for years! Will they ever finish? What are they doing, anyway?
This - The Noodle Shop - had a really small inside eating area. It was nice and cozy and the food was great!
This is a drum circle that seems to form at any random time. People gather there and dance and play the drums and hula hoop and hackey-sack. A very hippie organic gathering.
Masonic Temple
That big sign says "To Broadway" with a helpful arrow pointing the way. The street sign right next to it indicates that it is the corner of Woofin and Broadway. Was that big sign really necessary??
More shops...
I thought Samantha would like a dress like this, but was scared to get one and have it not fit. I'll have to take her to Asheville sometime to shop.
