Mother's Day Photos

You know how it is....  Mother's Day is the day when I get to make my kids pose for pictures. This year we went to the Biltmore for the pics.

Sam and Travis's new place

This is the new place . It looks much smaller in this picture than it is. The house is on a lot of land, with little gardens here and there. Much work will be required, but here's where it starts.
Azaleas in bloom...
The happy couple on the back patio.
The umbrella is wired with little Christmas lights!
Sam painted their bedroom.
This is the sunporch. I want one!

Living room. There's a fireplace in every room in this house.
Kitchen is big! They have many plans for redoing and updating but even now it's really cute.

Random Pictures from April

Easter was pretty laid back. I planted some things. Bill, Sam and Travis played Yahtzee in the yard.

Aw...  Vardemis is so cute!
I had the bright idea to plant some marigolds and some snapdragons in amongst this ivy. I figured they all tend to bush out pretty good so my ivy would have some splashes of color. Wrong. Ivy is taking over everything.

A boy and his cat. Touching moment...

This little guy is quite the acrobat! Hanging on for dear life to eat the seed right out of the bird feeder!
New furniture just fills up the living room. Now I need a rug. And some wall decor (for the wall that you can't see in this picture). How do you like that red? In the morning with the sun shining through, it looks like a stop light is on the front porch!! Love the furniture, though. And the red!

I spread some mulch around a tree and a veritable SWARM of these things came spewing out of a bag. They immediately fanned out. Onto my patio. Into the yard. I freaked out and took one in a baggie to the hardware store where they sold me a $30 bottle of carpenter ant poison (with battery operated pump action, tyvm). I applied the stuff and haven't seen any of the little devils since. Whew!
