So my baby turned 20. Samantha and I thought we'd ride up to Greensboro and pay him a visit. He's been really busy with play practices and whatnot so we were going to deliver his gifts to him and have dinner. At the last minute, he said he could come home for a day or two. Yay! Practically the moment he walked in the door, we decided we wanted him to open his gifts.

He ripped open the large box. BOOTS! We told him we couldn't have him spending the winter in Greensboro wearing only Chacos. He actually seemed pleased with that, too and ripped into the box to view the boots.

We figured he'd need it during his study-abroad in China next year. Not to mention all the videos he makes anyway.
We had chicken enchiladas - Mike's request, then cake. Mike's not a big fan of cake, so Samantha made this cinnamon streusel loaf. It was delicious. She will be doing all our baking from now on.
Almost old enough to put just the numbers rather than all those candles. The fire was really roaring.
Smoked up the house when he blew them out.
Later he bonded with contortionist-sleeper Vardemis.
Then he left. Sigh. Happy Birthday Mike!!!!
