- I moved to North Carolina from Houston, Texas in July of 1995 and have been here ever since. I never expected to stay here this long but events have conspired to keep me here. I've changed careers - from computer programmer to cook. Becoming a Certified Executive Chef is my goal. Samantha and Michael, my kids, are grown up They are happy, intelligent, lovely people (and both are college graduates, I'm proud to report). In addition to being a chef-in- training, I'm also a very proud mom. I am truly lucky.

I made two loaves of banana bread today. I feel so, idunno, inadequate. :)
Everything looks beautiful. Wasn't Mr. Poundcake your nemesis for a long time? Looks like you got it more than mastered!
And whoever thought up tuilles had too much time on their hands.
