The courthouse square.
It looks just like Shelby!!! Only cooler!
This is the infamous "Whiskey Row". The town is very old, and back in the day, this was an area of bars and women-of-ill-repute.
There are still many bars here. And really neat shops. Much history. We stayed here, at the Hotel St. Michael.
The hotel was built in 1890 and still retained much of its charm. This is one of the hallways heading to our room, and let me tell you, there were many hallways!

Our room. Small, but serviceable. And location, location, location!
The stairway.
We ate breakfast there at the hotel and it was delicious, once again. Loved those sausages!
This old elevator was a hand operated one. Bill opens the door...
We had drinks and played pool and enjoyed the town greatly. Next morning, we were off. The desert beckoned! Thanks, Prescott! We will be back.
